Facial Spa

After a standard massage, a facial spa is the second most popular therapy. The aim of a facial spa is to clean and hydrate the skin and then, add additional nutrition. Some recommend having at least four facials each year; this could go up to 12 if you are very inclined.

The general process of a facial involves cleaning the pores which includes removing the blackheads and white heads. If you think your face is very delicate or particularly sensitive, you should inform your therapist in advance because the first process might damage your face. After your face has been deeply cleaned, it is covered by a mask which has different nutrients, essential oils and extracts contained within it to help moisturise your face. The last process involves peeling off the mask then applying some toners to your face to help close pores. When it is finished, do not forget to ask for recommendations on the products suited to your skin type.

Remember: read the instructions. Having the right product but not using it correctly is as good as having the wrong product and ultimately you will not receive the benefit! Different essential oils are good for different skin types. Find out what you need, apply them correctly and hopefully you will begin to feel the difference usually in two weeks. Then you can leave the place feeling happy and more beautiful.

Spa Music

Choosing the right music during your spa therapy can be an essential component to complement your therapy, ensuring that the optimum atmosphere and environment is created. This can be especially important during a massage where deep relaxation and stress relief are the ultimate goals. Many resorts and hotels usually have their own music but if you have a specific taste of music that you would prefer to listen to then you should ask your therapist. At the end of the day, it is your money and your experience.  It is very important to inform them as to what you want and what your expectations are from the beginning to get the optimal benefits from any form of therapy. Striking the right balance and a happy medium is critical. Some music may affect the rhythm and mood of the therapist so you must use the right type of music.  While people have different tastes and preferences when it comes to music and using it to enhance relaxation, however, ideally spa music should be slow without lyrics, allowing you to clear your mind and dream whatever you like.

Benefits of a Spa

If you are looking for a relaxing gateway to improve your well-being and to get entertained at the same time, a spa hotel could be a perfect choice.  It would be a great opportunity to take some time off for yourself and for your own enjoyment. Most people are too busy in their daily lives to take a break to do something to relax. Spending a few nights in a luxury spa hotel can alleviate your stress and make you feel like new. A spa visit could help keep you mentally and physically healthy thus helping to prevent you from getting sick too often. It can also help improve your sleeping habits.

You could spoil your body with spa treatments and therapies. Most luxury hotels offer messages such as Thai, Swedish, Water and Aroma therapy.  Also it is possible to get benefits from treatments to help release the tension in your muscles, relieve pain and improve your blood circulation. There is also face treatments available to rejuvenate the face. There are usually three processes involved in face treatments; face massage, steam bath and skin cleaning.

You might consider a beach hotel in an exotic island or country side hotel surrounded by natural beauty. The choice is completely up to you. Luxury spa resorts mainly focus on your relaxation and well-being. It is also possible to find meditation, yoga retreats and health improvement classes. They usually offer gourmet restaurants with excellent selection of organic foods. There are packages available which can include accommodation, meals and spa treatments. Before you book, you should ask for the details of what your spa treatments include to avoid extras which could be expensive. Also you should think about what you need and expect to get from your spa holiday-treatment.

If you are looking for a place to spend time with your family, I would recommend spa hotels instead of luxury spa resorts. Spa hotels offer more activities to do as a family such as fishing. Luxury spa resorts are more an adult environment.
